Reclaimed Anniversary and Fundraiser
Project H.O.P.E. House has been invited to the “10 years, 10 tables” anniversary fundraiser on September 10 at Reclaimed, 67 N. Williams St., Crystal Lake, IL 7:00 pm.
The attached letter from Reclaimed Furniture invites us to be a beneficiary of their 10th-anniversary auction. A former Barrington High School Graduate has presented our cause and mission statement to the company, and they have graciously invited us on September 10. Reclaimed will offer ten tables for auction, with one table specifically earmarked for Project H.O.P.E. House. All proceeds from the table auction will go directly to Project H.O.P.E. House.
I am asking anyone interested to support us in this venture. I will have our table decorated with Native American items that were recently gifted to us as well as a blanket and other Lakota items. We will be reaching out on social media looking for interested donors and those interested in participating in the auction. Therefore, if you know anyone who may be interested, please give them this information.
One of our recent initiatives involves working with U.S. Veterans to support their Post Traumatic Stress Disorder issues. WE WILL BE MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES from the Veterans Administration and the group Warriors Guarding Warriors on September 20 to facilitate our group counseling/presentations with two groups of Vietnam Veterans, something close to my heart.
In addition, we will be offering a Lakota Wiping of the Tears ceremony in October, the date to be determined. Therefore, if you know anyone who has experienced a loss of a loved one, please pass on this information.
